Graceful Wedding // Stephanie & Josh // 06.02.2018
We had the pleasure of assisting Stephanie and Josh with their wedding all the way from Arizona. We began talking in February. For four months, we had many conversations by phone and text to detail one of the biggest and most memorable days of their lives. When you speak with a couple so frequently and in a short amount of time, you end up developing a friendship and so called “work” becomes “fun” and even more enjoyable. With that said, we are excited to share this beautiful wedding with you!
Here are the three concepts we loved about Josh and Stephanie’s wedding:
The Design - “Pastoral French Country with Refined Elements,” is what florist and designer extraordinaire, Renee Cerny from Frontier Flowers of Fontana, called this gorgeous wedding’s aesthetic. When Renee first met with the couple, they wanted to incorporate some rustic components to their wedding reception that would take place in the Abbey Resort’s Harbor Ballroom. The dark copper metal vases and dark mahogany wooden chairs achieved many of the goals for this vision. They grounded and made the room rich, gave it depth, and still were complementary to the flowers and colors the bridal couple wanted to utilize. To break up the monotony of the typical round table banquet look, Renee recommended for the bridal couple to incorporate three large king tables. One for the (25) person bridal party and two for an additional (50) guests to enjoy dinner. At these special king tables, they had a different place setting that included blue hues of glassware and English garden china. These tables, along with the beautiful tall floral arrangements, gave the room more visual interest.
The Sentiment - Josh and Stephanie are the sweetest couple you will ever meet, always thinking of others before themselves and making sure everyone was somehow included on their wedding day. For example, in lieu of party favors, they decided to donate that portion of their budget to this young boy, Easton McMurray, in need. On top of that, they made sure that their guests received welcome bags upon check-in. Instead of a rehearsal dinner, they had a welcome reception for everyone to attend. The kids had a special table at the wedding where they could play and have fun throughout the night. Pictures were on display of every single guest that they wish could have been there but were watching from up above. But my favorite was that they took the time to create a slideshow presentation of photos that included memories that they had with EVERY SINGLE GUEST at their 242 person wedding. Wow!
The Detail - With all this love and dedication they displayed for their friends and family, there’s no question that their wedding would feature so much love and beauty. With the contributions from every vendor that day, their wedding was absolutely breathtaking. Don’t take it from me, the photos, from Matt Mason Photography, speak for themselves. The Bride and Groom wanted to make sure that they covered every aspect possible while making sure it all tied together. From specialty linens and gorgeous flowers to the romantic decor and personalized touches of signage, canvas photos, and copper everything, this wedding (and the bridal couple) were beautiful in every way. All these aspects of the wedding made this wedding stand out from others. For example, take a peak at their welcome statement piece. Guests were able to enjoy this as they arrived to their cocktail hour that took place outdoors at the Abbey Resort’s Harbor Patio. The LOVE marquee letters and ladder display were provided by Forever Birdy rentals, the personalized welcome sign was handwritten by Graceful Events, and the mirror and lanterns were provided by Frontier Flowers of Fontana. Once the guests left cocktail hour, they were greeted by another welcome statement piece that included the bride and groom’s parents’ wedding photos along with a white fireplace mantle provided by Forever Birdy rentals and another personalized welcome sign from Graceful Events. Before guests entered the reception room, they were greeted with an amazing floral piece provided by Frontier Flowers of Fontana and place cards provided by Love&Lace Invitations. And I think you know where this leads to…
We want to thank Josh and Stephanie again for allowing us to be a part of their special day and hope they live #HappilyEverHarvey!
